Coal mining activities have the potential to cause air pollution, which negatively impacts health, particularly increasing the incidence of acute respiratory infections (ARI) among workers. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between coal industry activities and the incidence of ARI among workers at the Bahodopi Public Health Center, Morowali Regency. This study employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 6,126 individuals, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and checklists and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that most respondents were at risk of exposure to coal industry activities (91%), and the majority experienced ARI (84%). Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between coal industry activities and ARI incidence (p = 0.000). It can be concluded that exposure to coal industry activities is associated with an increased incidence of ARI among workers. Therefore, preventive measures such as the use of personal protective equipment, pollution control, and strengthening healthcare services are needed to reduce ARI cases.
