Peer Review Process

INBIS: Innovation of Business and Information Systems implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of all published articles. Every manuscript submitted to the journal must comply with the journal’s focus and scope as well as the author guidelines.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Team. At this stage, the manuscript will be evaluated based on its suitability with the journal’s scope, originality, methodological rigor, and compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines. The editorial team also conducts a plagiarism screening using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity or those that do not meet the journal’s standards will be returned to the authors or rejected before the peer review process.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure an objective and unbiased review process.

The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

• Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
• Originality and novelty of the research
• Scientific contribution to the field
• Methodological rigor and validity of the analysis
• Clarity of presentation and organization of the manuscript
• Quality of references and supporting literature

Based on the reviewers’ evaluation, the editorial decision may include the following outcomes:

• Accepted without revision
• Accepted with minor revisions
• Accepted with major revisions
• Rejected

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and submit the revised version within the specified time. The revised manuscript may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

The final decision regarding the acceptance of a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to make the final decision on publication.

The publication order of accepted articles is determined by the editorial team by considering several factors, including the date of acceptance, thematic relevance, and the geographical diversity of authors.

The average review process in this journal generally takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the extent of revisions required.
