HUBUNGAN BEBAN KERJA AKADEMIK DENGAN PERILAKU CARING MAHASISWA PROFESI NERS ANGKATAN XIII UNIVERSITAS WIDYA NUSANTARA

Nursing services play an important role in the healthcare system; therefore, professional behavior is essential, one of which is caring. This study aims to analyze the relationship between academic workload and caring behavior among nursing profession students (Ners) of the 13th cohort at Widya Nusantara University. This study employed a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 33 respondents obtained through total sampling technique. Data on academic workload and caring behavior were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that respondents with low academic workload mostly had high caring behavior (73.3%), while those with high academic workload mostly had low caring behavior (72.2%). Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.024 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between academic workload and caring behavior among nursing profession students. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between academic workload and caring behavior. Therefore, educational institutions are expected to optimally manage students’ academic workload to enhance caring behavior in nursing practice.
