HUBUNGAN STIGMA MASYARAKAT DENGAN PERILAKU MASYARAKAT TERHADAP ORANG DENGAN GANGGUAN JIWA DI DESA PURWOSARI

Abstract

The stigma is one factor barrier in the healing patients with mental disorder. Many people treat or be is not good in patients with mental disorder and community not so ignore on mental disorder. Understanding of the people about mental disorder is low, causing people of the getbehaviours the are not fun of the community and even from the families of patients with him. The aim is to determine the relationship between community stigma and community behavior towards people with mental ini purwosari villag torue sub-district. The design of the research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach with sampel 62 respondents with predefined sampel criterion. The instrument of the research was questionnaires. The results of this study there is a significant relationship between social stigma and people’s behavior towards people with mental disorders ρ value 0,000. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between community stigma and community behavior towards people with mental disorders in purwosari village torue sub-district. It is suggested to the puskesmas to provide information and knowledge such as counseling about mental disorders to the community so that the communiry knows how to treat and always pay attention to people with mental disorders in the future.
