Abstract

WWorking posture refers to the body's position or stance when performing work activities. Ideally, it should align with human anatomy to ensure ergonomics, safety, and prevent injury. Meanwhile, work duration is the length of time a person spends performing their job in a day. Non-ergonomic and ineffective working postures and durations can cause low back pain in farmers. The purpose of this study was to determine the association between working posture and work duration with the incidence of low back pain among farmers in Korondoda Village, Tojo District, Tojo Una-Una Regency. Method: This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 52 respondents selected using total sampling technique. Results: Based on statistical tests, the Chi-Square test for working posture yielded a p-value = 0.262, while the Fisher’s test for work duration resulted in a p-value = 0.147. This indicates that there was no association between working posture and work duration with the incidence of low back pain among farmers in Korondoda Village, Tojo District, Tojo Una-Una Regency.
